How quickly things can change.

Just a few weeks back we were all going about our business. Buying and selling, making our deals. Groups of people were enjoying each others company, laughing and playing. The economy was booming, creating a housing market only dreamed about. Interest rates at record lows while the stock market was at record highs.

BUT, then along comes this spiked looking protein that changed everything. It changed our interactions with others. It changed our shopping mentality. Who needs a years supply of toilet paper? It changed the face of the south on Sunday morning. No more congregating, no more touching, and limited traveling.

Many non-essential businesses have been ordered to close, leaving many without paychecks. Essential/non-essential, someone with an education above mine has to determine what needs to be functional to keep the economy from collapsing completely.

The real estate business has been determined to be an essential entity to ensure our economic stability. As a home inspection company, we provide just a minute part of the transaction that also makes our business essential.

That being said, InterNACHI has provided a course to train inspectors the proper procedures, according to the CDC, to perform inspections. I have completed this online course and will be performing inspections under these guidelines.

Our only stipulation as home inspectors being, please vacate the house. Exposure is greatly reduced when inspections are performed alone.
